Inderal is indicated for healing of high blood pressure, prevention of angina pectoris (chest pain), management of a heart condition called hypertrophic subaortic stenosis, treating and preventing certain abnormal or rapid heart rhythms, improvement of survival after a heart attack in certain people, curing tremor, prevention of migraine headaches, and treating symptoms of adrenal gland tumors. It can be used alone or with other drugs. It may also be used for other situation as suggested by your doctor.
Take Inderal as directed by your doctor. Use Inderal with or without a food, but it should be taken at the same time daily and consistently either on an empty stomach or with food. Do not take antacids containing aluminum within 2 hours of taking Inderal. Continue to use Inderal even if you feel well.
Inderal may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or lightheadedness. These effects may worsen if Inderal is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Take Inderal with caution. Don't drive or perform other possibly negative tasks until you know how you react to this drug. If your symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, visit your physician. This pill should be used only by the patient for whom it has been advised. Don't use less or more or take it more often than suggested by your doctor.
