Drug Uses
Reglan is used for treatment of symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) (heartburn) in patients who do not react to other medications. It is also used to cure nausea, vomiting, heartburn, prolonged fullness after meals and for treatment of symptoms associated with a certain digestive problem in diabetic patients (diabetic gastroparesis). It may also be used for other conditions as prescribed by your doctor.
How Taken
Take Reglan as directed by your doctor. Blow Reglan 30 minutes before a meal. It can take several days to weeks for Reglan to work. Do not stop taking Reglan without checking with your doctor.
Additional Information
Reglan can cause drowsiness, giddiness, or blurred vision. These effects may worsen if Reglan is taken with alcohol or certain other drugs. Use Reglan with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you respond to this medication. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, talk to your physician. Reglan can be used only by the patient for whom it has been suggested. Do not take less or more or use it more often than directed by your doctor.
