Drug Uses
Cipro is used for curing of bacterial infections. It can also be used to prevent or slow anthrax after exposure.
How Taken
Take Cipro with a full glass of clear water as recommended by your doctor. Use Cipro with or without a meal. It is suggested to drink extra fluids while taking Cipro. If you also take any products containing magnesium, aluminum, calcium, iron, or zinc (eg, vitamins/minerals, antacids), didanosine, sucralfate, or bismuth subsalicylate, don't take them within 6 hours before or two hours after taking Cipro. To clear up your infection completely, take Cipro for the full course of curing. Keep taking it even if you feel better in a few days.
More Information
Cipro may cause drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, or lightheadedness. These effects can worsen if Cipro is taken with alcohol or certain other drugs. Use Cipro with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to this pill. If your symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, visit your physician. This product should be used only by the patient for whom it has been recommended. Don't take less or more or take it more often than recommended by your physician.
