Drug Uses
Erythromycin is used for curing of infections caused by certain bacteria. It is also used to prevent bacterial endocarditis and attacks of rheumatic fever. It may also be used for other conditions as advised by your physician.
How Taken
Use Erythromycin as determined by your physician. To prevent stomach upset take Erythromycin with food intake. Swallow Erythromycin whole. Do not break, crush, or chew before swallowing. Don't eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice while you use Erythromycin. This medicine works best if taken at the same times daily. To clear up your infection absolutely, take Erythromycin for the full course of healing. Keep taking it even if you feel better in a few days.
