Drug Uses
Atarax is indicated for relief of anxiety and tension caused by psychoneurosis and organic disease states in which anxiety is manifested. It may be used for other situations as advised by your doctor.
How Taken
Atarax comes in pills to take in orally. The usual daily dosage for adults is 50-100 mg. Children over 6 years should take Atarax 50-100mg daily in parted dosages. Daily dosage for children under 6 years of age is 50mg divided into couple of dosages.
More Information
Atarax may cause dizziness. These effects can worsen if Atarax is taken with alcohol or certain other drugs. Use Atarax with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you respond to this medicine. If your symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, visit your physician. Atarax should be used only by the patient for whom it has been recommended. Don't take less or more or take it more often than directed by your doctor.
