Inderal is indicated for treatment of high blood pressure, prevention of angina pectoris (chest pain), management of a heart condition called hypertrophic subaortic stenosis, treating and preventing certain abnormal or rapid heart rhythms, improvement of survival after a heart attack in certain patients, curing tremor, prevention of migraine headaches, and curing symptoms of adrenal gland tumors. It can be used alone or with other drugs. It may also be used for other condition as advised by your physician.
Take Inderal as prescribed by your doctor. Use Inderal with or without a meal, but it should be taken at the same time daily and consistently either on an empty stomach or with food. Do not take antacids containing aluminum within 2 hours of taking Inderal. Continue to use Inderal even if you feel well.
Inderal may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or lightheadedness. These effects may worsen if Inderal is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Take Inderal with caution. Don't drive or perform other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you react to this drug. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, call your doctor. This pill should be used only by the patient for whom it has been determined. Do not use less or more or take it more often than determined by your doctor.
