Drug Uses
Zithromax is used for treatment of infections caused by certain bacteria. It may also be used for other situations as directed by your physician.
How Taken
Take Zithromax as suggested by your physician. To clear up your infection completely, take Macrobid for the full course of curing. Keep taking it even if you feel better in a few days. Failure to do so may decrease the effectiveness of this healing and may increase the risk that the bacteria will no longer sensitive to Zithromax and will not be able to be treated by this or certain other antibacterial drugs in the future.
More Information
Zithromax may cause drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, or lightheadedness. These effects may worsen if Zithromax is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Zithromax with caution. Don't drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to this drug. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, notify your doctor. This drug should be used only by the patient for whom it has been determined. Do not use less or more or take it more often than recommended by your physician.
