Just chanced upon your search for a person to do a workshop, and the interest in
a shadow puppet workshop. I happen to love shadow puppetry. Did a 40 min show
years ago in Lubbock, Texas for 500 puppeteers from all over the world, and I got a standing ovation for 10 minutes, I was told, and got an UNIMA Award for Exellence.
And wonderful Quotes as from a fellow from the london Journal of Puppetry: ” I watched his show twice, my jaw on my chest. The best manipulator/ performer I have ever seen.”
Actually I had only a couple skits I felt were admirable. One skit was wonerful. The rest just fun cartoony
stuff. Shadow puppetry is a wonderful medium. However, Though i was very entertaining and had exceptional animation, I only knew what I learned by myself so the endless possibilities of the medium which I believe others have explored are unknown to me. And after that show I set the shadow puppetry aside to explore other
puppetry. It might be great fun guiding a group in exploring creating pieces. But making it happen would take some doing. Thank you, Bob Hartman
