Puppeteers are well known for sharing what they know.

The Consultants service began with the founding of PofA in1937.  Four consultants were listed in Puppetry Journal 1950 listed 4 and now there are over 30. The sharing of knowledge at festival workshops continues throughout the year due to the their generosity of the Consultants.

The President, with the approval of the Board of Trustees, appoints experts in various aspects of puppetry to serve as consultants to the membership. This service is free to all members.  Non-members may use the service as a courtesy, and are cordially invited to join Puppeteers of America.

Consultants will try to answer all requests promptly and to offer as much information as possible to the correspondent. Please make your questions concise and specific. Consultants must assume that you have done some homework and are turning to them with a problem for which answers are not available in the sources you have studied.  Please use your consultants, and be sure to let them know how things work out.
